Hi! My name is Iulia and I blog about going through my life as an old soul, cat lover and foodie (mainly) living in Brighton. I am originally from Romania, then moved to Italy and now I find myself living in lovely England. The variety of cultures in my life has helped me countless times and I would like to share them with you. I post around around once a week about different topics such as travel, movies, books and quotes and everything that I am passionate about. When I moved to England, I found the difference between this country and Italy fascinating and I will let it out throughout my posts.
I am madly in love with Brighton and all its strangeness (in a good way, of course) and places. Don’t get me wrong, Italy is the country of my heart but Parma, as much as I love it, is not the greatest city for young people. I don’t remember the last time I felt like a young person but Brighton definitely helped improving my view on that regard.
“The Girl Who Chased The Sun” came to me a couple of years ago when I was writing a poem about myself for a drama class. The original one goes “La ragazza che inseguiva il sole/ Ha perso di vista l’andare delle ore” (The girl who chased the sun/ Lost sight of the passing hours). I found it described me so accurately, even though shortly, I decided not to add anything more to it.
